# Williams’ Late Touchdown Lifts Cowboys Over Colts 27–23

Dallas answered a late Indianapolis lead, then Caleb Downs intercepted Daniel Jones to secure the road win.

The Dallas Cowboys beat the Indianapolis Colts 27–23 on Sunday, November 8, scoring a touchdown with 1:08 remaining before Caleb Downs intercepted Daniel Jones to end the Colts’ final chance.

Dallas improved to 4–5 with the road victory at Lucas Oil Stadium. Indianapolis fell to 2–7 after taking a short-lived fourth-quarter lead.

The Cowboys were ahead 20–17 entering the final period, but turnovers and missed opportunities kept the Colts within reach. CeeDee Lamb lost a fumble after a long reception, with Indianapolis winning a challenge to gain possession. Dallas then recovered a Colts fumble but could not turn the takeaway into points.

Spencer Shrader brought Indianapolis level at 20–20 with a 59-yard field goal. After Brandon Aubrey missed from 50 yards, the Colts moved back into kicking range, and Shrader’s 50-yarder gave them a 23–20 lead with 1:37 left.

Dallas needed an immediate response and got one. Dak Prescott connected with Ryan Flournoy on a deep pass to move into scoring position. Javonte Williams finished the possession with a one-yard touchdown run, putting the Cowboys back ahead.

The defense then closed out the game. Downs intercepted Jones with 35 seconds remaining, preventing another change of lead.

Prescott passed for 335 yards, while Lamb caught 10 passes for 195 yards. Dallas amassed 508 total yards to Indianapolis’ 271, but 14 penalties for 153 yards helped keep the outcome unsettled until the final minute.

The Cowboys had led 17–7 at halftime. Indianapolis erased that margin during the second half, forcing Dallas to produce its winning drive after surrendering the lead late.
