Launch Catch-Up — Exhibition Opening Announced October 20, 2026

A Paris showcase organized by Apple with Design Miami opened October 20 at Hôtel de Maisons, according to the company’s announcement, bringing together four design practices around the theme of presence.

Curator Rodman Primack selected work by Salem S. Charabi, Isabel Rower, Yoonjeong Lee and Parafernalia, the partnership of Genki Matsumura and Sebastián Zorrilla.

The objects offer different approaches to attention and everyday surroundings. Charabi’s lighting project combines date-palm fronds with limestone. Rower’s Padded Chair 1860 draws on historic papier-mâché furniture and contrasts a glossy surface with beaded fringe.

Lee’s New Form incorporates worn pencils into a table-and-lamp structure. Parafernalia’s MonoAmbiente 1 transforms from a closed sculptural object into furniture for shared activity.

The showcase is the second year of the Designers of Tomorrow collaboration. Apple’s account also describes how participants used its devices during their creative work, making the technology company’s sponsorship part of the exhibition’s context.

This report summarizes the dated opening announcement, rather than an independent exhibition review or confirmation of current visiting hours.
