Krafton announced October 30 that its Ludo Robotics subsidiary presented Ludi 0.2, an updated robotic-intelligence system, at the Bay Area Robotics Symposium at the University of California, Berkeley.

The company describes the system as research into robots that interpret human intent, respond to feedback and adapt to changing tasks. The announcement identifies work on gesture interpretation, memory, reasoning, coordination of navigation and manipulation tools, and physical movement.

Those capabilities are described by the developer. The release does not provide comparative benchmark results establishing how reliably Ludi 0.2 performs across homes, workplaces or other unrestricted settings.

The update follows Ludi 0.1, introduced in August. That earlier system combined a vision-language model for reasoning and dialogue with specialized navigation and manipulation functions. Krafton said it was designed to follow spoken instructions, retain conversational context and seek clarification within supported environments.

Krafton, the company behind PUBG: Battlegrounds, says its experience with interactive game environments helped build its machine-learning and multimodal-AI work. Ludo Robotics is applying that research to physical systems through teams in Palo Alto, California, and Seoul.

Its longer-term roadmap includes Ludi 1.0, a foundation model still in development that aims to combine perception, dialogue and physical action. That is a research objective rather than an announced commercial deployment.

The company said its training approach combines simulated environments, generated social interactions and real-world human-behavior data. It is also developing evaluation methods for social situations and gesture-driven manipulation.

The October 30 announcement did not specify a consumer release date or price for a robot using the system. Its stated advance is the presentation of Ludi 0.2 and the research directions associated with it.
