Netflix has scheduled Akka for an October 30 premiere, according to its October 21 announcement.

Keerthy Suresh and Radhika Apte play Bhavani and Rudra, rivals whose ambitions challenge the established order in the fictional setting of Pernuru. The series centers on power, loyalty, family and revenge.

The ensemble also includes Tanvi Azmi, Mahesh Manjrekar, Anshuman Pushkar and Monica Panwar.

Dharmaraj Shetty wrote and directed the series. YRF Entertainment produces, with Aditya Chopra, Yogendra Mogre and Akshaye Widhani credited as executive producers.

The project continues Netflix’s collaboration with YRF Entertainment, which includes The Romantics, The Railway Men, Maharaj and Mandala Murders.

Netflix released the premiere information alongside a trailer announcement. The date is a planned release, rather than evidence that the series has already debuted. Its description of the fictional story and characters comes from the company’s production material; this report does not offer a review or claim to have watched the completed series.
