# Nacua and Garrett Lead Rams Past Commanders 20–13

The Los Angeles Rams defeated the Washington Commanders 20–13 on Sunday, November 8, with Puka Nacua supplying the decisive touchdown and Myles Garrett recording three sacks in his return from knee surgery.

The victory at Northwest Stadium in Landover, Maryland, was Los Angeles’ third straight and lifted the Rams to 5–4. Washington fell to 2–5–1. The Rams moved above .500 for the first time this season.

Nacua caught 14 passes for 150 yards on 19 targets. His seven-yard touchdown reception from Matthew Stafford early in the fourth quarter broke a 13–13 tie and provided the final scoring margin. Stafford completed 26 of 43 passes for 219 yards, with a touchdown and an interception.

Garrett’s return strengthened the other side of the ball. Along with his three sacks, he forced a fumble, and the Rams’ defense protected the lead through Washington’s final possession.

The Commanders had led 10–6 at halftime after Jayden Daniels found Van Jefferson for a seven-yard touchdown in the second quarter. Los Angeles went ahead on a one-yard Blake Corum touchdown run to start the second half, before Washington drew level with a field goal.

Nacua’s touchdown then put the Rams back in front. Washington still advanced to the Los Angeles 31-yard line with nine seconds remaining, but Jaylen McCollough forced a fumble that Byron Young recovered to end the threat.

The Rams won despite converting none of their first nine third-down attempts. Their defense and Nacua’s heavy workload helped overcome those stalled possessions and preserve a narrow road victory.
