# Saints Edge Browns 23–22 After Overtime Two-Point Stop

The New Orleans Saints beat the Cleveland Browns 23–22 in overtime on Sunday, November 8, surviving a final two-point attempt after both teams scored touchdowns in the extra period.

New Orleans improved to 3–5 and earned its first home victory of the season at Caesars Superdome. Cleveland fell to 5–4 after choosing to try for the win rather than kick an extra point to tie.

Tyler Shough found Juwan Johnson for a 15-yard touchdown with 4:17 left in overtime, giving the Saints a 23–16 lead. The Browns answered with a 39-yard touchdown pass from Shedeur Sanders to Harold Fannin Jr., closing the gap to one point with a minute remaining.

Cleveland then went for two. Sanders’ pass was incomplete, allowing New Orleans to finish off a game that had swung repeatedly in its final minutes.

The teams had been tied 3–3 at halftime and traded field goals before the offenses found the end zone late. Sanders connected with KC Concepcion for a 64-yard touchdown with 5:21 left in regulation, putting the Browns ahead 13–9.

The Saints responded with a 55-yard drive capped by Audric Estimé’s two-yard touchdown run. That gave New Orleans a 16–13 lead with 58 seconds to play, but Cleveland still had time to move into range for Andre Szmyt’s 51-yard field goal. His kick tied the game with eight seconds remaining and forced overtime.

Shough finished with 265 passing yards and a touchdown. Chris Olave caught seven passes for 98 yards, while Estimé ran for 72 yards and a score. Sanders passed for 297 yards and two touchdowns in Cleveland’s narrow loss.
