# Trump Urges States to Embrace AI Development in New Statement

President Donald Trump urged U.S. states to embrace artificial-intelligence development in a November 6 social-media statement, renewing his support for the technology without announcing a new policy measure.

Trump said he was fully in favor of what he calls “Super Intelligence” and would work with states interested in hosting its development. He described the potential benefits as “GOLD,” presenting the technology as an economic opportunity.

The statement appeared on his Truth Social account Friday morning. An archived copy records its publication at 7:01 a.m. Eastern. Independent reporting confirmed the remarks.

The post did not identify particular states, companies or projects. It also did not specify new funding, construction approvals, deadlines or a federal response to restrictions on data centers. Its economic claims describe the president’s position rather than demonstrated returns from a newly announced investment.

The terminology follows an earlier administration directive. In a September 29 fact sheet, the White House said Trump had signed an executive order directing federal departments and agencies to replace “Artificial Intelligence” and “AI” with “Super Intelligence” and “SI” in official communications and certain documents.

That earlier directive also called for the president’s science and technology adviser to propose a federal definition of the term and identify possible further executive action, according to the fact sheet.

Friday’s statement renewed Trump’s public encouragement of state participation. It did not itself establish a new program or change the requirements governing a particular development.
