Airbnb raised its full-year revenue-growth outlook Thursday after reporting stronger demand for stays and services in the third quarter, signaling continued spending on travel despite economic and geopolitical uncertainty.

The San Francisco company now expects 2026 revenue to increase at a rate in the high teens. Its previous forecast called for growth of at least the mid-teens. The new projection depends on travel demand and the performance of the company’s expansion initiatives through the end of the year.

Third-quarter revenue rose 19% to $4.87 billion, above the $4.75 billion average analyst estimate. Diluted earnings per share increased to $3.16 from $2.21 a year earlier. Nights and seats booked rose 16% to 155 million, a measure that includes stays and service reservations.

The company said every region recorded double-digit growth in nights booked. North American nights grew at their fastest rate in four years, while all five of Airbnb’s core markets — the United States, France, Britain, Canada and Australia — accelerated.

Airbnb also announced authorization to repurchase up to an additional $12 billion of its Class A common shares. A buyback authorization gives management permission to purchase shares; it does not require the entire amount to be spent immediately.

For the fourth quarter, Airbnb projected revenue of $3.22 billion to $3.28 billion, representing growth of 16% to 18%. The company said it is monitoring developments in Europe, the Middle East and Africa as it assesses the outlook.

The results offer a fresh reading on consumer travel demand, including in the United States, as the industry approaches the year-end holiday season.
