Enbridge reported higher third-quarter earnings on November 6 and maintained its full-year financial outlook, according to the Canadian energy infrastructure company’s unaudited results.

Earnings attributable to common shareholders reached C$1.288 billion for the three months ended September 30, compared with C$682 million a year earlier. Earnings per common share rose to C$0.59 from C$0.30.

The company said much of the increase reflected unrealized changes in the value of derivatives used to manage currency, interest-rate and commodity risks, alongside changes in operating performance. Adjusted earnings, which exclude specified items, rose more modestly to C$1.074 billion from C$997 million.

Adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization increased to C$4.434 billion from C$4.267 billion. Enbridge attributed the improvement partly to rate settlements on its East Tennessee and Texas Eastern gas systems and higher utility rates in Utah, North Carolina and Ontario. Lower volumes in part of its liquids pipeline business and reduced tolls on Line 9 deliveries offset some gains.

Operating cash flow fell to C$2.703 billion from C$2.868 billion. Distributable cash flow, a company-defined non-GAAP measure, increased to C$2.689 billion from C$2.566 billion.

Enbridge retained its 2026 forecast for adjusted EBITDA of C$20.2 billion to C$20.8 billion and distributable cash flow per share of C$5.70 to C$6.10. Those projections remain forward-looking rather than completed results.

The company also reported that the Tennessee Ridgeline project and the Aspen Point expansion of its British Columbia pipeline system entered service during the quarter. Their completion reduced its secured project backlog, which stood at approximately C$38 billion.

All financial figures above are in Canadian dollars. The adjusted measures do not replace the reported accounting results.
