Regeneron reported third-quarter revenue of $5.12 billion on October 30, a 36% increase from a year earlier, with collaboration income accounting for much of the gain.

Revenue from its Sanofi collaboration reached $2.72 billion, up 68%. Regeneron said higher profits associated with Dupixent and the end of deductions for a development balance supported that increase. Dupixent’s global sales are recorded by Sanofi, rather than as Regeneron’s own net product sales.

Regeneron’s total net product sales increased 14% to $1.81 billion. Combined U.S. sales of Eylea HD and Eylea fell 1% to $1.10 billion, despite a 62% increase for the higher-dose product. Global Libtayo sales rose 51% to $550 million.

Reported net income increased 33% to $1.95 billion. Diluted earnings were $18.45 a share, compared with $13.62 a year earlier. Adjusted diluted earnings were $20.07; that non-GAAP figure excludes specified items.

The company also raised its expected annual research-and-development spending. The results describe business performance during the completed quarter and do not establish treatment benefits for individual patients.
