Tampa General Hospital announced October 30 that Lijah Lokenauth will become executive vice president and chief financial officer effective January 4, 2027.

Lokenauth currently serves as senior vice president of finance. The announcement is a future appointment, rather than a change that has already taken effect.

As part of the transition, current finance leader Mark Runyon will become executive vice president of executive special projects, reporting to system chief executive John Couris.

Lokenauth joined Tampa General as corporate controller in 2018 and later became vice president of accounting and finance. His current responsibilities include budgeting, financial performance, revenue management and operational work across the system and its affiliated partners.

The hospital system said the succession was intended to maintain continuity as it expands. It cited its ambulatory-care partnership with Mass General Brigham and the addition of TGH DeSoto as recent organizational developments.

Those earlier initiatives provide context for the appointment; the October 30 announcement does not describe a new hospital opening or a change to patient services caused by the finance transition.

Before joining Tampa General, Lokenauth held finance and internal-controls responsibilities at New York-Presbyterian Hospital. He is a certified public accountant and certified fraud examiner, according to the announcement.
