The Celebrity Traitors drew an average overnight audience of 11.2 million for its second-series finale, figures reported October 31 show, making it the celebrity edition's most-watched episode on that measure.

PA Media reported that the Friday, October 30 finale peaked at 11.6 million viewers on BBC One and had a 62.9% audience share, citing the BBC. The average was slightly above the 11.1 million overnight audience reported for the first celebrity series' finale.

BBC News also reported the 11.2 million average for the latest final. Its account distinguishes that episode figure from the more than 15 million people who had been watching the series. Those are different audience descriptions and should not be treated as interchangeable totals.

Overnight figures provide an early audience measure. BBC News said the finale's total would grow as catch-up viewing was added; the new figures therefore do not represent its eventual consolidated audience.

Friday's episode ended with comedian Romesh Ranganathan and actor Sebastian Croft winning as faithfuls. They shared the £83,000 charity prize after the remaining players eliminated Maya Jama and King Kenny, who had been traitors in the game.

The winners' result dates to October 30. The new development reported here is the October 31 release of overnight viewing figures for that broadcast.
