Spin Master announced October 28 that a fourth PAW Patrol feature film is in development, with Paramount Pictures expected to distribute it in 2029.
Cal Brunker will return as director and co-write the film with Bob Barlen, according to the company's announcement. Brunker directed the franchise's first three theatrical releases, including PAW Patrol: The Dino Movie.
The new installment brings together Spin Master Entertainment, Paramount Animation and Nickelodeon Movies. Spin Master Entertainment will produce the film. The announcement did not provide a specific release date within 2029 or identify a voice cast.
Spin Master said the first three movies together generated about half a billion dollars at the worldwide box office. That figure is the company's account of the franchise's theatrical performance.
The company's entertainment president, Vishnu Athreya, said it plans to continue expanding PAW Patrol across films, television and other formats. The preschool series debuted in 2013, providing the starting point for the movie franchise.
