Launch Catch-Up — Exhibition Opened October 25, 2026
The Museum of Modern Art has opened Brancusi: The Artist and His Studio, bringing rarely lent works from Constantin Brancusi’s Paris studio to New York through February 27, 2027.
The exhibition combines sculptures with photographs, films, hand-carved furniture, pedestals, tools and archival material. MoMA places those loans alongside its own Brancusi collection and other local loans.
The studio is central to the museum’s presentation. Brancusi used it as a home, workshop, meeting place and setting for his sculptures, then bequeathed its contents to France in 1957.
The preserved Atelier Brancusi belongs to the Centre Pompidou collection. Both the atelier and the Paris museum are closed for renovations, according to MoMA.
