Netflix outlined a changed elimination format for The Devil’s Plan: Dead Again on October 27, ahead of the Korean strategy competition’s worldwide November 10 premiere.
Unlike the preceding two seasons, exhausting a player’s Pieces will no longer automatically eliminate that contestant. Match outcomes will instead determine elimination, Netflix said. The change also allows more movement between the show’s Living Area and Prison Area.
Producer Jung Jong-yeon’s 16-player lineup combines returning competitors with newcomers. It includes Jang Dongmin, Hong Jinho, Oh Hyunmin, Ha Seok-jin, Jeong Hyun-gyu, Kim Dong-jae, XITSUH, Yurisa, Hyun Kyunglyul and John Park.
SHINDONG, JAE JAE, Nucksal, Yi Do, Stella Jang and Jung Wonyoung complete the announced roster.
Netflix disclosed the details alongside its main-trailer announcement. The release identifies the planned premiere and format changes, rather than the competition’s results. It does not identify a winner, and this account does not claim access to unreleased episodes.
