Launch Catch-Up — Festival Program Announced October 26, 2026.
Netflix announced its first appearance at the Texas Book Festival, with programming scheduled for November 14–15 in Austin, Texas.
The company's October 26 announcement describes a panel examining the relationship between books and screen adaptations. Participants include Virgin River showrunner Patrick Sean Smith, The Hunting Wives author May Cobb and The Bodyguard author Katherine Center.
Center's novel is the basis for the upcoming film Guarding Stars. The festival program includes an early screening of that adaptation, alongside author signings and a Netflix Reading Lounge.
Netflix Vice President of Drama Cole Galvin will also join the panel, which Cosmopolitan's Tamara Fuentes is scheduled to moderate.
The announcement concerns a future festival appearance and planned programming. It does not mean the events have already taken place or establish current seating availability for the screening and panel.
