Ukraine’s Energy Ministry reported new power outages in seven regions Friday, November 6, saying overnight and morning Russian attacks had damaged energy infrastructure.

The affected regions were Vinnytsia, Dnipropetrovsk, Zhytomyr, Zaporizhzhia, Kyiv, Kharkiv and Chernihiv. The ministry described conditions in the capital region as the most difficult, with damage requiring continued restrictions on the electricity network.

Repair crews were working wherever security conditions allowed, the ministry said. Air alerts interrupted restoration efforts, with crews returning after alerts ended. Work to stabilize supplies was continuing around the clock.

Deputy Energy Minister Artem Nekrasov separately described the capital region as the hardest hit in remarks reported Friday morning.

The ministry said scheduled hourly outages remained in effect across most Ukrainian regions, alongside limits on industrial electricity consumption. Those wider restrictions are separate from the list of seven regions reporting new outages that morning.

Officials directed residents to regional distribution operators for current schedules, saying conditions could change during the day. The morning statement did not specify how many households had lost electricity or give a nationwide restoration deadline.

This account describes the Ukrainian authorities’ reported grid conditions and repair response. The seven-region figure refers to new outages overnight and Friday morning, rather than a count of every region subject to scheduled electricity restrictions.
