Update — November 8, 2026, 6:02 a.m. Central:
A separate National Weather Service advisory now covers Benton, Carroll, Madison and Washington counties in northwest Arkansas, along with Craig, Delaware, Mayes and Ottawa counties in northeast Oklahoma, until 9 a.m. CST Sunday.
The Tulsa office issued the dense-fog advisory at 5:09 a.m. CST, forecasting visibility of a quarter-mile or less, especially near bodies of water and in valleys. Rapid changes in visibility could make driving hazardous. The agency advises drivers encountering fog to slow down, use low-beam headlights and leave extra following distance.
The same bulletin continues a frost advisory for those eight counties, with temperatures as low as 33 degrees Fahrenheit forecast. Its instructions call for covering outdoor plants or bringing them inside.
This is a separately issued advisory covering northwest Arkansas and northeast Oklahoma, in addition to the Little Rock office’s central and north-central Arkansas coverage below. It does not change the 9 a.m. end time of those earlier notices.

The National Weather Service added Pulaski County to the dense-fog advisory at 4:43 a.m. CST Sunday. The newly included county is under the advisory through 9 a.m. CST, with visibility of a quarter-mile or less forecast.

Earlier Reporting — November 8:
The National Weather Service issued a dense-fog advisory early Sunday, November 8, for parts of central and north-central Arkansas, warning that reduced visibility could make morning driving hazardous.
The Little Rock office’s 3:26 a.m. Central Standard Time bulletins forecast visibility of a quarter-mile or less. The advisory took effect when issued and runs through 9 a.m. CST Sunday.
The northern coverage includes Marion, Baxter, Fulton, Sharp, Stone, Izard, Independence, Cleburne and White counties. It also covers listed forecast zones in Boone, Newton, Searcy and Van Buren counties, with separate lower- and higher-elevation areas specified in the bulletin.
A companion notice covers Conway and Faulkner counties, southern Johnson and southern Pope counties, and the higher-elevation forecast zones in Johnson and Pope.
A separate frost advisory continues through 9 a.m. in parts of the central and north-central area covered by the first bulletin. Temperatures as low as 33 degrees Fahrenheit could lead to frost formation there. That frost forecast is not included in the companion Conway–Faulkner–Johnson–Pope fog-only notice.
The weather service advises drivers encountering fog to slow down, use headlights and leave plenty of distance ahead. For areas under the frost advisory, its instructions call for protecting tender plants.
Sunday’s notices describe expected low visibility and cold conditions within their stated forecast zones. They do not establish that visibility has already fallen to the same level throughout every covered county.
